Just switched from an old Mac G5 to iMac. Before data transfer I was using Dreamweaver MX2004 and had no problem connecting and uploading edited pages. Since data transfer am now using Dreamweaver CS3 works fine when editing pages, problem begins when I try to connect to remote site I keep getting FTP error message: "login or password is incorrect."

Had the same problem when switched to Windows 7 (64-bit) - Dreamweaver CS4 crashing in Code View. After no solution online I found the solution (at least it worked for me) in disabling ClearType. After I disabled ClearType in Display --> Adjust ClearType everything worked as it should. I also had to change fonts in Code View because as DW puts there some Technicality font - just go to Edit --> Preferences --> Fonts and put Courier New as your Code View font. Hope this will work for you also.
