Oh, I've tried that hundred times already!
For some reason it doesn't work with a link code like this:

"Link to another page"

What am I doing wrong?

No, it's not at all complicated. Just create a link to the other page or tab in exactly the same way as you would in the main body of the page. A tab is simply a div that is hidden/displayed by JavaScript. There's nothing magic or complicated about it.

Thanks a lot David for a helpful article.

I have maybe a silly question (assuming me being very newbie in dreamweaver and coding).
You explained very clearly how it's possible to link to PanelTabs from links. But... is it possible to link to another page's Tab (or just to a page) from within a Tab?

You can have only one fragment identifier (the bit after the hash tag) in a URL.

The linking to specific tabs works great. That has been a real nice feature for me to add in for my customer. However, how do I link to tabs contained within tabs? i.e., Tab#4 of TabbedPanels1, when selected, has 3 tabs of TabbedPanels2 nested inside.

I have tried doing this:
?tab=4#TabbedPanels1&tab=2#TabbedPanels2
…but no luck.

What worked for me was using
"TabbedPanels1", {defaultTab : params.tab ? params.tab : 0}

"TabbedPanels2", {defaultTab : params.tab2 ? params.tab2 : 0}

then pass parameters in the URL as ?tab=1&tab1=2
